I have been growing cut flowers for local florists for 4 years. Our dahlias have been used for weddings, workshops, and events. My local florists love all the varieties and have given me a lot of feedback. I am selling dahlia tubers that I started out with in the beginning that sell well with my local florists. As I build my stock, I will be selling additional tubers of my favorite dahlias in December 2020. These dahlias are a great addition to your home garden. If you sell flowers, they would be beautiful to sell to your local florists or an addition to your farmer’s market or flower CSA bouquets. We are inspected by the NC Department of Agriculture yearly to ensure we are free of pests and disease. We are only able to ship tubers within the United States.
Please contact me by email if you have any questions about your dahlias. The dahlia tubers are packed in bags with peat with a label in the bag. All orders will begin shipping in early April, or after the danger of frost has passed, via USPS Priority Mail. When you receive your order, open and look at your tubers. If there are any issues with your dahlia tubers, please contact me within 5 days of receipt. Keep your dahlia tubers in a cool, dark place until you are able to plant. Dahlias are planted after your last frost and when the soil temperature is around 60 degrees which is usually is mid April through May in most areas. I am in zone 7 so I plant mine in April. If you can plant your tomatoes, then you should be able to plant your dahlia tubers.
Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes. All dahlia tubers purchased from us will will be shipped with at least one visible eye. We are not liable for any damage or loss resulting from storage or weather. Dahlia tuber eyes my still be dormant and may be difficult to see. They do sprout at different times depending on the dahlia variety. Early blooming dahlias are going to sprout sooner (about 2 weeks) than late bloomers which can take 6-8 weeks to produce eyes so be patient. We are not responsible for poor growing conditions or weather conditions that cause tuber rot. If you are not satisfied with your product, please contact me. I cannot fix the problem if I do not know about it.
There are so many dahlia varieties.
