Paula's Dahlias

I have finished planting my dahlias on May 20, 2025.  Depending on the weather conditions and growing conditions this year, I hope to sell tubers from some of my dahlias.  They will be limited.  The tuber sale will be in December 2025.  The tubers will ship in late March or April depending on where you live in the U.S.

You never know when we are going to have a tropic storm or hurricane.  When we receive an excessive amount of rain in one day, it is hard not to lose a few dahlia plants.  I will know more this fall how many tubers I will have for sale.

These are some additional dahlias from seed that I am working on.  This is a picture of Paula's Divine.  The bloom size is 3.5 inches across.  It looks dark red; however, it has purple tones.  It has beautiful form.

I am loving this third year pink and yellow dahlia seedling.  The bloom size is almost 5 inches across.  It has performed well so far this summer.  She has Sylvia Craig Hunter traits.

The below picture is another pink and yellow third year dahlia seedling that has been doing really well during our hot summer.  The bloom size is around 5 inches across.  These plants are in full sun and not under the shade cloth.

I am also considering this pink third year dahlia seedling.  The bloom size is around 5 inches across.  She does have more intense color under the shade cloth.  It has been hard to evaluate dahlias in July since we have been so above average in temperature and humidity.  Our temperatures have been in the 90's with dew points around 73 to 76.  The nighttime lows have been in the 70's so the dahlias have no time to rest.  Also, we had one of the top wettest July on record so it has been very tropical.  Our average temperature should be 88 degrees and 70 degrees at night in July.

I am also very excited to finally have a logo. We purchased our farm 10 years ago, and I started the cut flower field. I have always wanted a logo. Now that Garden Bee Flower Farm is selling Paula's dahlias, I have been working on a logo. I came up with a design; however, it need to be enhanced and elevated more so I contacted Vine Creative Designs which is located in the Asheville, NC area. I talked to Bronwyn Blenn, and she did an excellent job designing the logo. I love the vibrant colors.

I look forward to seeing gardeners growing and enjoying Paula’s dahlias in backyards across the country. So exciting! I hope you will include Paula's dahlias in your dahlia garden!  I appreciate all the support and encouragement!
