Limited Edition. New Release in 2027. Paula's Divine is a miniature formal decorative burgundy dahlia. The color is burgundy as the dahlia has some purple tones. The bloom size is around 3.5 inches across. Paula's Divine has lovely form. The petals go back to the stem so beautifully with so many petals in the center to keep the center very tight during the summer heat. The dahlia produces strong stems and has great vase life. I have exhibited Paula's Divine for two years at the Carolina's Dahlia Society show in Cashiers, NC and it has received a blue ribbon each year. At the Carolina's Dahlia Society dahlia show on 9-12-26, Paula's Divine won Prince of the Show. I was so happy and honored. The Prince of the Show is selected from all the BB and Miniature winners. Paula's Divine was the Best Miniature FD dahlia at the show. I also exhibited 5 blooms of Paula's Divine and it made it to the head table also as the Best Miniature 5 Blooms. The plant height is around 3 feet.
All tubers are sold as a single tuber with a visible eye. Tuber orders do not ship until April depending on the weather. If you live in southern Florida, southern Alabama, and southern Texas, I will try to ship tubers in late March depending on the weather. They are shipped USPS. I only sell and ship in the U.S. I do have a checkout & shipping policy on my website.
Remember it can take 1 to 2 seasons for your new dahlia tuber to adapt to its new environment with different daylight hours, climate, and soil conditions. Be patient as your dahlia becomes established and adjusts to its new home. If you live in the southern states, I would recommend planting dahlias where they receive afternoon shade. If that is not possible, you may want to use a shade cloth. I find that dahlias do not like it when the dew point and temperature are close to each other or if the dew point is over 70 so a shade cloth is helpful to help the dahlias tolerate these conditions.
I am not restricting the resale of my dahlia cultivars through trademarks/royalties or other means. I do ask that you always use the full name of my dahlia. For example, when referring to Paula's Divine, please include Paula's at the beginning of the name. I appreciate it.
